Grandma Alma’s Chopsetti

This is a family recipe and when I was thinking about this, I wondered what the word “chopsetti” meant — so I searched the dictionary. It is not actually a word! The dictionary asked me “did you mean chopsteak?” I giggled — I certainly did not mean chopsteak! I meant chopsetti. I make this dish often. One) because it’s quick to prepare. Two) clean up isn’t too shabby. Three) It’s salty and I enjoy salt! (thank you soy sauce!). Hope you like it as much as I do!

1 lb ground beef
1 onion chopped
1 cup celery chopped
salt & pepper to taste
3 TB soy sauce
1/2 cup instant raw rice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3/4 can water

Fry beef in pan. Combine everything in two quart casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, 30 minutes with dish covered, 30 minutes with dish uncovered.
